30 Rock to return for one-off special

30 Rock is to return for a one-off special episode in July.

The cast of 30 Rock are to reunite for a new one-hour, one-off special, NBC has announced.

The new episode will be shot remotely and will see Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski and Jack McBrayer all reprise their roles from the much-loved comedy, which last aired in 2013.

The show will also double up as an upfronts event for NBC, with guest appearances by stars of other returning and new programmes on the network.

"We're all happy to have this excuse to (remotely) work together again for NBC," said Fey. "To quote Kenneth the Page, there are only two things we love in this world, television and everyone."

The new episode will air on Thursday, July 16 in the US, with no word yet on whether it will be broadcast in the UK.
