Juventus are reportedly considering whether to rival a number of Premier League clubs in the race to sign Barcelona playmaker Philppe Coutinho.

Juventus are allegedly contemplating an approach for Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho.

In recent weeks, reports have frequently linked the two clubs with numerous transfer deals, including the possibility of Miralem Pjanic leaving Turin for Camp Nou.

However, for any deal to materialise, a player may need to move in the opposite direction, potentially one which commands a significant transfer fee and weekly wage.

Aware that they will not be able to sign Arthur, Calciomercato claims that Juventus now hold an interest in signing Coutinho.

The Catalan giants are said to be eager to get the Brazilian, currently on loan at Bayern Munich, off their books by June 30.

Although financial compromises would need to be reached, each of the relevant parties may feel that concluding a deal during the next transfer window makes sense for all involved.

However, Juventus will likely face fierce competition from Premier League clubs, including the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United.
