Robert Lewandowski: "We didn't play badly"

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski stresses that his side "didn't play badly" during their Bundesliga defeat to Augsburg.

Robert Lewandowski has insisted that Bayern Munich "didn't play badly" during their 1-0 defeat at home to Augsburg on Saturday.

Hosting Bayern were reduced to 10 men in the 13th minute when goalkeeper Pepe Reina was sent off, and the visitors went on to make the most of their numerical advantage when Raul Bobadilla scored the game's only goal in the 71st minute.

However, despite the loss, Polish striker Lewandowski believes that it was a good display from the Bavarians.

"It was a bit complicated after the red card. We didn't play badly and made two or three good chances, but unfortunately we've not scored," the 26-year-old told the club's official website.

Pep Guardiola's Bayern, who play host to his former club Barcelona on Tuesday night, have been beaten in each of their last four outings.
