Dayot Upamecano 'drops Manchester United transfer hint'

RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano fuels rumours that he could join Manchester United next summer.

RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano has fuelled suggestions that he could join Manchester United next summer by liking an Instagram post linking him with a switch to Old Trafford.

There will be a £40m release clause in the 22-year-old's contract at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, and a number of clubs are believed to be interested in signing him.

Liverpool are reportedly ready to battle United, although Bayern Munich will allegedly not be able to afford to sign the France international in next summer's transfer window.

Upamecano has now dropped a hint that he could be moving to the 20-time English champions by liking an Instagram post that suggested that the defender was heading for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

The former Valenciennes youngster joined Julian Nagelsmann's team from Red Bull Salzburg in 2017 and has made 123 appearances for the Bundesliga giants in all competitions.

The Frenchman was a part of the Leipzig side that suffered a 5-0 defeat to United in the Champions League earlier this season.
