Manchester United 'dismiss Inter Milan loan move for Romelu Lukaku'

Manchester United reportedly dismiss Inter Milan's opening £63m offer of an initial loan with an obligation to buy striker Romelu Lukaku.

Manchester United have reportedly dismissed Inter Milan's opening offer worth an eventual £63m for striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Italian outfit are understood to have proposed an initial two-year loan deal worth £9m containing an obligation to buy for a further £53.8m at the end of that period.

However, United are refusing to budge on their £80m valuation of Lukaku, who joined the club two years ago in a £75m deal which rose closer to £90m.

The Red Devils are eager to recoup most of that money when selling the Belgium international this summer, and the Daily Mail reports that they have swiftly rejected Inter's opening gambit.

Lukaku has strongly suggested that he is open to joining up with Antonio Conte at San Siro during the current transfer window, while United are willing to consider offers for the 26-year-old.

However, Inter are keen to agree an initial loan deal in order to avoid the need to raise funds by selling Mauro Icardi before they can progress with the transfer.
