Newcastle United are reportedly planning a double swoop for Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo and Bournemouth's Lloyd Kelly.

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo and Bournemouth's Lloyd Kelly this summer.

The Magpies are keen to strengthen their backline, having seen Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles ruled out for up to nine months with anterior cruciate ligament injuries.

As a result, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has had to make a central defensive pairing out of Fabian Schar, Emil Krafth and Dan Burn.

Dummett has also featured as a substitute in the last three matches, but he is expected to leave when his contract runs out in the summer.

With the Magpies looking for new centre-backs, The Telegraph are reporting that they are considering Adarabioyo and Kelly as potential targets.

Fulham's key centre-back

With Newcastle looking to stay within the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules, they may be attracted to the idea of signing Adarabioyo and Kelly on cheap deals.

As it stands, the pair will be available on free transfers when their respective contracts expire at the end of the season.

Fulham are still keen to renew Adarabioyo's current deal, with the defender regarded as a key part of Marco Silva's side.

After missing 11 of Fulham's first 12 league games through injury, Adarabioyo has gone on to start 17 of Fulham's next 21 matches in the top flight.

A recent report claimed that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have made contact with Adarabioyo, while there has also been interest from Liverpool, West Ham United and AC Milan.

Kelly has also entered the final three months of his contract, and there is currently no sign that he will extend his stay with the Cherries.

The 25-year-old has been hampered by a number of injury issues this season, but he is still believed to be attracting interest from several clubs.

As well as Newcastle, the former England Under-21 international has been linked with Liverpool, Tottenham, Milan and Juventus.

Kelly could prove to be a useful addition for any of his potential suitors, having showcased his ability to operate as a centre-back and a left-back.

The versatile defender has made 136 competitive appearances since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2019.
