Rafael Benitez hints at transfer business

Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez says that he will 'analyse his options' when the team return from their pre-season tour of the United States.

Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez has hinted that there is still a lot of transfer business to come at the Bernabeu this summer.

It has been a relatively quiet window in terms of actual incomings and outgoings, but Benitez is expected to make decisions on a number of players over the next week or so.

Among those that could be heading out are Lucas Silva and Asier Illarramendi, while Sergio Ramos now looks set to remain with the Spanish giants.

"I have a great team and I'm working every day. My objective is to get a performance from them and if we can improve, we will," Benitez has been quoted as saying by AS.

"When we get back to Madrid we'll analyse our options. Now we're just thinking about the group we have, which is very good. Pre-season has seen the players do very well and give 100%. We'll wait until the next game to make assessments.

"I'm delighted with all of them but it's true we have to make decisions. Out of respect we'll wait until we're back in Madrid to make those decisions."

Real Madrid will complete the United States leg of their pre-season tour against AC Milan on Thursday.
