Baltimore Ravens: 'ESPN report contains errors and inaccuracies'

The Baltimore Ravens are adamant that a report from ESPN stating that they knew the full details of the Ray Rice assault case contains "errors" and "inaccuracies"

The Baltimore Ravens have insisted that a report suggesting that they knew the full details surrounding the Ray Rice assault case contains "errors" and "inaccuracies".

A report from ESPN claimed that the Ravens received information regarding Rice's assault on his then-fiancee hours after the incident took place in an Atlantic City hotel.

It is also alleged that members of the club's front office pleaded for leniency for the running back from the NFL and the authorities, before he was handed an initial two-game ban and placement in an intervention program.

A statement from the Ravens said: "The ESPN 'Outside the Lines' article contains numerous errors, inaccuracies, false assumptions and, perhaps, misunderstandings.

"The Ravens will address all of these next week in Baltimore after our trip to Cleveland for Sunday's game against the Browns."

Baltimore released Rice last week following the release of footage from inside the lift of him striking his wife.
