Emmerdale star Jurell Carter appears to criticise his own soap for featuring a coronavirus vaccine storyline.

Emmerdale star Jurell Carter has appeared to criticise his own soap for featuring the coronavirus vaccine as part of an upcoming storyline.

In an episode airing next month, village veteran Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) will receive the life-saving jab, to the delight of his family and friends.

Jurell, who plays Nate Robinson on the soap, seemed less than impressed with the storyline, however, posting a rant about "promoting" the vaccine to the viewing public.

"If you wanna take this EXPERIMENTAL vaccine, go ahead but don't start pushing people to take it or start promoting it," the 25-year-old posted on his Instagram Stories.

"I'm even seeing others demonising others for not wanting it.

"Your body, your decision, my body, my decision. The blind leading the blind. And I'm not here for it."

According to the latest government figures, over 15.3 million people have now received at least one dose of the two-jab vaccine.
