Gogglebox, Bake Off, First Dates feature in Channel 4 Christmas schedule

Channel 4 confirms details of the programming in its Christmas and New Year lineup.

Channel 4 has announced its lineup of programming for the festive period, with seasonal specials of its signature shows featuring heavily.

Filmed as part of The Great British Bake Off's giant coronavirus production bubble earlier this summer, two special episodes of the cookery contest will air at Christmas and New Year, each featuring four contestants from past series.

Other specials include First Dates Christmas, Gogglebox: Festive Special, The Supervet at Christmas and a Snackmasters Christmas Special that will see top chefs attempt to recreate sweets from the iconic Quality Street range.

Quentin Blake's Clown is an animated adaptation of the iconic book with narration from Helena Bonham-Carter, while in One Night in... Hamleys, three comedians will be left alone in the famous London toy store overnight.

Kirstie Allsopp presents a new 10-part series of Kirstie's Homemade Christmas, Jamie Oliver returns with two episodes of Jamie: Keep Cooking at Christmas and there will be end-of-year specials for Gogglebox, Celebrity Gogglebox and The Last Leg, in addition to festive regulars The Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2020 and The Big Fat Quiz of Everything.
