Love Island's Jacques O'Neill reportedly grows close to former islander Mary Bedford, who appeared on last year's series of the dating show.

Love Island star Jacques O'Neill has reportedly been growing close to former islander Mary Bedford following his stint on the show.

The 23-year-old rugby league player was one of the most memorable contestants on this year's series, coupling up with Paige Thorne but then voluntarily choosing to leave the villa in order to prioritise his mental health.

After he left the show Paige coupled up with Adam Collard, and The Sun says that Jacques has also been moving on, visiting Mary - a contestant on last year's series - at her flat this week.

"He was round there really late, around 11pm, and they were both really touchy-feely at [a] VIP launch last week," a source told the newspaper.

"They're getting really close - they have a lot of shared history given that they've both been on Love Island."

This year's series ended on Monday night with Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Culculoglu being crowned the winners.
