E4 reportedly lines up a Christmas edition of Married At First Sight UK uniting memorable contestants from this series and last.

Married At First Sight UK will reportedly return for a special episode this Christmas that will feature the most memorable participants from the current series and last year.

The spinoff will follow the group as they move into a country house together for a short period - including a series of the show's signature dinner parties.

"Bosses are over the moon with the success of this series so far and thought a Christmas spinoff would be the perfect way to capitalise on that," a source told The Sun.

"It's going to be a similar format to the Love Island special in 2018, with the biggest stars from this series and previous ones staying together in a big country house."

The source added: "The final cast is still being lined up, but expect to see all your favourites coming back. There will be tears, romance and plenty of old wounds reopened.

"It's going to be a real Christmas cracker that will get the festive season off to a bang."

The current series continues Mondays to Thursdays at 9pm on E4.
