Dune - Part Two to be pushed back to 2024?
Warner. Bros is reportedly considering delaying the release of the second Dune movie until 2024 due to the ongoing writers' strike.

The second part of the Dune franchise could reportedly be pushed back by at least a few months into 2024.

The sequel to Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi epic, starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, was officially greenlit at the end of 2021 following the unexpected success of the first part.

Filming took place in the second half of 2022, with the likes of Austin Butler, Florence Pugh and Christopher Walken joining the cast ahead of a scheduled release on November 3 this year.

While that release date remains on the cards for the time being, Variety says that Warner Bros. and partner Legendary are exploring a revised release date in light of the ongoing writers' strike which is seeing most acting talent boycott promotional duties as an act of solidarity.

The publication says that WB is also considering new dates for The Color Purple (currently December 20) and Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom (Christmas Day) for the same reason.
