Sophie Ellis-Bextor to perform at BAFTA Film Awards after Saltburn success
Sophie Ellis-Bextor will perform 'Murder On The Dancefloor' at this year's BAFTA Film Awards, it is announced.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor will perform her resurgent hit 'Murder On The Dancefloor' at this year's BAFTA Film Awards, it has been announced.

The song has become a worldwide phenomenon - 22 years after its initial release - following a notorious scene in Saltburn that sees Barry Keoghan's character dance to the track completely naked.

Keoghan is up for Best Actor at the awards for his role in the film, while co-stars Jacob Elordi and Rosamund Pike have supporting nods.

'Murder On The Dancefloor', meanwhile, has registered new chart peaks of number two in the UK and in Ireland, and number three on the US Hot Dance chart.

This year's BAFTA Film Awards will be hosted by David Tennant and take place on February 18.
