Betty White "fine" amid coronavirus outbreak

A spokeswoman for Betty White insists that the Golden Girls star is "fine" amid the spread of the deadly coronavirus disease.

Hollywood legend Betty White is reportedly doing "fine" as the deadly coronavirus disease continues to escalate around the world.

The Golden Girls and Hot In Cleveland star turned 98 in January and is believed to be isolating at her home in Beverly Hills.

In recent weeks, White's fans have flocked to social media to express their concerns for her wellbeing due to the disease, which disproportionately affects the elderly.

However, in a short statement to NBC's Today, White's spokeswoman insisted: "Betty is fine."

White has been working in the entertainment business since 1939 and has won eight Emmy Awards and a Grammy, while in 1955 she was appointed 'Mayor of Hollywood'.
