Donald Trump takes bizarre car journey outside hospital

Coronavirus-positive President Donald Trump briefly leaves hospital in a car in order to wave at supporters gathered outside.

President Donald Trump has provoked more criticism tonight by briefly leaving hospital to greet a throng of supporters gathered outside.

The 74-year-old was admitted to the Walter Reed Medical Center on Friday, having tested positive for coronavirus and after requiring oxygen support at the White House earlier in the day.

Trump's medical team have insisted that he is recuperating well in hospital, although speculation that his condition is actually more serious is being widely reported in the US media.

Despite the many health risks posed by coming out of isolation, Trump briefly left Walter Reed on Sunday in order to wave to fans from his presidential car.

The vehicle was specifically designed to withstand a chemical weapon attack and uses recirculated air, meaning that the Secret Service staff in the car have now been exposed to the risk of being infected by the President.

Trump's team have decided to administer a combination of experimental drugs on him in an attempt to defeat the disease and according to CNN, he is believed to be the only person on the planet to have been given a cocktail of Dexamethasone, Remdesivir and an experimental antibody treatment.
