Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills will take on an epic 24-hour treadmill challenge for this year's Children In Need.

Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills is to take on an epic 24-hour treadmill challenge for this year's Children In Need appeal.

The Great Scott TreadMills Challenge will begin at 8.20am on Wednesday, November 16 and will see Mills spend the following 24 hours walking, jogging and running on a treadmill.

A live stream of the challenge will be broadcast via BBC iPlayer and the red button, while all of Radio 2's regular shows will be broadcast live from BBC Radio Theatre in London, where Mills will be based, over the 24-hour period.

"As the newbie here at Radio 2, I just hope I can step up to this epic challenge for BBC Children in Need," said Mills.

"I can't let the side down for the station, especially after seeing the incredible feats of endurance in previous years by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Joe Wicks and Rylan. To get in shape, I'm walking, doing lots and lots of walking!"

This year's main Children In Need appeal will be broadcast on Friday, November 18 on BBC One.
