Start date, celebrity guests confirmed for new Drag Race UK

The new series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK will begin on September 22, it is announced.

The fourth series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK will begin on Thursday, September 22, it has been announced.

The show will feature 12 new queens competing over 10 weeks for regular judges Ru, Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton alongside a lineup of extra special guest judges.

Those judges have now been confirmed to include Dame Joanna Lumley, This Morning's Alison Hammond, singers FKA Twigs and Olly Alexander, Spice Girls legend Mel B, model Leomie Anderson, celeb chef Lorraine Pascale, Ted Lasso's Hannah Waddingham and music icon Boy George.

Elsewhere, Tess Daly and AJ Odudu will take part in this year's Snatch Game, Strictly's Giovanni Pernice will lead a choreography session, Cathy Dennis will put on a songwriting masterclass and Aisling Bea will prep the queens for a comedy turn.

The first episode of Drag Race UK airs on BBC Three at 9pm on September 22.
