James Haskell and Chloe Madeley confirm rumours that they have split up after five years of marriage.

James Haskell and Chloe Madeley have confirmed that they have split up after five years of marriage.

The former England rugby star, 38, began dating Madeley - daughter of presenting duo Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan - in 2014 and last year they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Bohdi.

In recent weeks, speculation about their relationship hit the tabloids after they were pictured not wearing their wedding rings.

The news of their breakup comes as the pair are starring in an ITV reality show following their family life, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair, which was filmed earlier this year before they decided to split.

In a statement via The Sun, Chloe said: "James and I mutually decided separate at the end of September, 2023.

"We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time - certainly not while the television show was airing - but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand.

"Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time.

"Our sole focus now is our beautiful daughter. We shall continue to co-parent with nothing but love."

James added on social media: "It's with a lot of sadness I write this post, but unfortunately, in the world we live in, it has to be done.

"My priority is my daughter's and Chloe's happiness and security. For that reason, I won't be commenting any further."

Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair continues Monday nights at 9pm on ITVBe.
