Craig Revel Horwood confirms Strictly will definitely go ahead

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood says that the show will definitely go ahead this autumn despite the ongoing complications of coronavirus.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has insisted that the show is "going ahead" this year as planned.

Some doubts had been cast over whether the ballroom contest could happen as usual due to the coronavirus pandemic, but producers are said to have developed a multi-point plan to enable the production to proceed safely.

Speaking during an appearance on Loose Women today, Revel Horwood confirmed: "I'm looking forward to the show this year. It's going ahead, I know that! It gives us a chance to look at the show in a new creative light."

Fellow judge Bruno Tonioli is not expected to be on the panel at the start of the new series as he is working on the US version of the show, prompting speculation that he could be replaced by pro dancer Anton du Beke or Cheryl Cole.

Among the names said to be in the frame for this year's show include Catherine Tate, Michelle Keegan, Jennifer Metcalfe, Gillian Anderson and Iain Stirling.
