RuPaul's drag singing competition Queen of the Universe will air on MTV in the UK.

Drag competition series Queen of the Universe will air on MTV in the UK, it has been announced.

The show, hosted by Graham Norton and devised by RuPaul, sees top drag queens from around the world battle it out in a singing competition with the aim of winning a $250,000 cash prize.

The judges panel includes Drag Race regular Michelle Visage, singer Leona Lewis, actress and singer Vanessa Williams and Drag Race royalty Trixie Mattel.

Season one was released in the US on streaming service Paramount+ last year, while in the UK it will air first on MTV in the coming months before joining the lineup of Paramount+ when it launches in the UK this summer.

Notable competitors in season one include La Voix (UK), Jujubee (US), Gingzilla (Australia) and Betty Bitschlap (Denmark).
