Great Britain have finished fifth in team eventing at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, while France have won their first gold medal since 2004.
It is the first time since 2000 that the Brits have not taken home a medal in this event, but the damage was already done on Monday in the cross-country round.

In the show jumping, Team GB improved, sealing three clear rounds which meant that they would not be able to finish lower than sixth.
