League Two roundup: Matt Tubbs scores hat-trick in eight-goal thriller

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's League Two action as Matt Tubbs nets a hat-trick in an eight-goal thriller between Portsmouth and Cambridge United.

Portsmouth and Cambridge United were involved in a eight-goal thriller, as Matt Tubbs's hat-trick not only contributed to the 6-2 victory but also takes him to 16 goals for the season.

Reuben Reid scored a hat-trick in the Devon derby, as 10-man Plymouth Argyle beat Exeter City 3-1 in the early kickoff.

Burton Albion came from a goal down to beat Dagenham & Redbridge 3-1, maintaining Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's impressive record as manager of the Brewers. The result puts the visitors top of the league.

Shrewsbury Town missed the chance to go top of the table, after they slipped up to relegation-threatened Tranmere Rovers, losing 2-1 away from home.

Wycombe Wanderers suffered a late scare in their 3-2 victory over Carlisle United, as two late home goals from Danny Grainger and Kyle Dempsey put pressure on the automatic promotion chasers.

Stevenage fought back from being 2-1 down against Southend United to win 4-2, with Ben Kennedy's winner coming with just four minutes remaining.

Hartlepool United suffered another defeat, with Bury's Andrew Tutte scoring the only goal 15 minutes from the end.

Northampton Town cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over York City, with Chris Hackett, Brendon Moloney and Ivan Toney all getting on the scoresheet.

David Connolly scored an injury-time winner for AFC Wimbledon, snatching all three points in a 3-2 victory over Luton Town.

Morecambe picked up a surprise away victory at playoff chasers Newport County, with Jack Redshaw scoring in the eighth minute.

Alexander MacDonald's brace helped Oxford United pick up all three points, as they comfortably beat Mansfield Town 3-0.
