Barnsley will be bidding to book their spot in the second round of the FA Cup when they host Isthmian League Premier Division side Horsham on Friday night.

The hosts are currently fifth in the League One table, while Horsham, who last reached the second round of the FA Cup in 2007-08, sit seventh in the Isthmian League Premier Division.

This is a free hit for Horsham, and they are certainly talented enough to make this an uncomfortable match for Barnsley. The hosts are one of the strongest sides in League One, though, and we are expecting them to advance to the next round of the competition without any major problems.

Looking to avoid a gigantic upset on Friday night, League Two side Walsall will travel to face eighth-tier outfit Sheppey United, who are participating in the first round of the FA Cup for the first time.

The Ites have battled through five rounds of qualifying over several months to reach the biggest game in their history against a Saddlers team who have struggled with inconsistency so far this term.

We say: Sheppey United 1-2 Walsall

Sheppey will be fired up for the biggest game in their history on Friday, but the question is whether the Ites can control their emotions and take advantage of any opportunities that arise on the night.

Walsall have been slow starters in League Two matches this season and cannot afford to give the Holm Park crowd anything to feed on - we believe that Sadler's men will narrowly avoid a major upset in Kent.
