Sunday's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup: Juan Musso, Olivier Giroud, Fikayo Tomori

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Chelsea on Sunday, December 6.

The summer transfer window has now closed, with Chelsea among the busiest clubs and biggest spenders in world football.

After two windows without signing a single player, the Blues made up for lost time by splashing well over £200m on the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Edouard Mendy and Thiago Silva. Attention will now switch to the January window and whether Chelsea will invest heavily again.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.

Sunday morning's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup:

Chelsea 'still interested in Juan Musso'

Chelsea will reportedly consider a future move for Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso if they are able to part ways with Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Blues were linked with the Argentina international during the summer transfer window before they eventually concluded a deal for Edouard Mendy.

However, with frequent speculation regarding Arrizabalaga's future and Willy Caballero in the latter stages of his career, Frank Lampard will soon require more competition for the Senegal international.

According to Mundo Udinese, Chelsea still hold an interest in Musso, who is valued in the region of £27m.

Musso has conceded just eight goals in as many games for Udinese this season, while he made his Argentina debut as recently as last year.

The stopper, also a target for Paris Saint-Germain, has just over two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.

Olivier Giroud wants Chelsea stay

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has affirmed that he wants to remain at Stamford Bridge.

The France international has struggled for game time over the likes of Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner this term, but Giroud proved his worth to Chelsea with all four goals in their 4-0 win over Sevilla in the Champions League.

With a spot in France's Euros squad at stake, Giroud has been linked with a move elsewhere in order to get more first-team action, but the former Arsenal man has reiterated his desire to stay at Chelsea.

Speaking to the official Chelsea website, Giroud said: "I just have to show the manager that I am ready to fight until the end, as I told him at the beginning of the season, but obviously to be happy I need to be a little bit more on the pitch.

"The gaffer gave me the opportunity to play and I hope I will have more opportunities again because I think I've shown him that I am ready to fight for the team. We all want to be on the pitch but we have a great squad.

"If I play a bit more than in the beginning of the season, I have a good chance to be fit and ready for the Euros. I had a conversation with Deschamps and he said if the situation stayed like that, I will have to take a decision in January.

" I am pretty sure I can get some more game time and stay at Chelsea because that is what I want. I want to win trophies with Chelsea so basically that's it.

"You never know in football, everything is going very fast, but right now I am very happy. I am a happy man and I am proud to be a Chelsea player."

Giroud is currently in the final year of his contract with Chelsea, with Serie A giants Inter Milan and Juventus credited with an interest in the 34-year-old in recent weeks.
