Sunday's Premier League predictions including Chelsea vs. Man City

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Chelsea vs. Man City.

Aston Villa vs. Fulham (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Aston Villa can match a 40-year club record when they welcome Fulham to Villa Park in the Premier League on Sunday.

Unai Emery's side have the opportunity to win a 13th consecutive home league game here, something they have not achieved since 1983.

We say: Aston Villa 3-1 Fulham

Villa have been imperious at home under Emery, and they will expect to keep up the momentum and match that club record here against a Fulham side who have slightly underwhelmed in the league.

Fulham have also lost four in a row at Villa Park, including a 1-0 defeat late last season in a game where they registered only one shot, matching Everton away to Newcastle United as the lowest tally of the season.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Brighton vs. Sheff Utd (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Fresh from another historic Europa League night, Brighton & Hove Albion seek to end their winless run in the Premier League when Sheffield United visit the Amex Stadium on Sunday.

The Seagulls defeated Ajax 2-0 in their own backyard on Thursday evening, while the Blades were on the right end of a controversial officiating call in a 2-1 beating of Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.

We say: Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 Sheffield United

A huge stroke of fortune was required for Sheffield United to get over the line against Wolves, and while Brighton's squad has been decimated by injuries, Heckingbottom is also working with a depleted set of options.

As such, the Blades' agonising wait for a point on the road seems set to continue at the Amex, as Brighton ought to prolong their golden streak in the final third and - despite their ravaged defence - keep a belated Premier League clean sheet.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Liverpool vs. Brentford (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Having come out on opposite ends of 3-2 scorelines in their most recent encounters, Liverpool and Brentford have a lot to live up to in the final third when they lock horns in Sunday's Premier League clash at Anfield.

The Reds lost a five-goal thriller to Toulouse in the Europa League on Thursday evening, while the Bees sunk London rivals West Ham United in equally thrilling circumstances last weekend.

We say: Liverpool 2-1 Brentford

Home is where the heart is for Liverpool, who should at least be boosted by the return of Van Dijk for Sunday's game, where Brentford's unenviable injury list could catch up to them.

Given their propensity to concede and Brentford's recent hot streak in front of goal, the Reds may require another of their trademark come-from-behind wins to take the spoils, but with 11 points already gained from losing positions this season, Klopp's men should head into the international break on the back of a ninth successive Anfield triumph.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

West Ham vs. Nott'm Forest (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Having taken a giant step towards the Europa League knockout stages, West Ham United return to Premier League action on Sunday, as Nottingham Forest visit the London Stadium.

While the Irons saw off Olympiacos 1-0 in Thursday's continental contest, the Tricky Trees broke their winless run in the top flight by stunning Aston Villa 2-0 at the City Ground last weekend.

We say: West Ham United 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Forest's recent scoreless streak on the road should not be taken at face value given the calibre of opposition to host Cooper's side in recent weeks, and the Tricky Trees will be riding the crest of a wave after stunning a Champions League-chasing Aston Villa.

The visitors will also possess the fresher legs on the back of another taxing Europa League evening for West Ham - albeit a worthwhile one - and while we have faith in Moyes's side to avoid a fourht successive loss in the top flight, they may have to accept a share of the spoils.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Chelsea vs. Man City (Sunday, 4.30pm)

For the second gameweek running, Chelsea will headline the latest round of Premier League fixtures as the Blues welcome treble winners Manchester City to Stamford Bridge for Sunday afternoon's blockbuster battle.

Mauricio Pochettino's return to Tottenham Hotspur on Monday ended in an extraordinary 4-1 win, while the Citizens sealed a last-16 Champions League berth by putting three goals past Young Boys without reply in midweek.

We say: Chelsea 0-2 Manchester City

Had Postecoglou opted to shut up shop rather than stick with his principles on Monday evening, Chelsea may not have walked away with three points in the bag, and their margin of victory would have been far less emphatic had they got over the line in such circumstances.

Pochettino's men will not carve out opportunities at will against an 11-man Citizens side, even with a couple of fresh defensive concerns for Guardiola to factor in, and we can only envisage the champions handing the Blues a rude awakening with a seventh victory - and clean sheet - on the trot against their capital counterparts.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.
