Chelsea launch an enquiry for Saint-Etienne youngster Lucas Gourna-Douath, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Saint-Etienne youngster Lucas Gourna-Douath.

The 17-year-old has already made 30 first-team appearances for his French club, which all came in Ligue 1 during a breakthrough 2020-21 campaign.

According to RMC Sport, Chelsea have been keeping a close eye on the teenager's development and have now approached Saint-Etienne to ask for information.

The report claims that Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have also been in touch with the Ligue 1 outfit to register their interest in the central midfielder during this summer's transfer window.

Gourna-Douath signed his first professional contract with Saint-Etienne in May 2020, while he has been capped by France Under-16s and France Under-17s.

Chelsea are also said to be keeping a close eye on the contract situation surrounding Barcelona youngster Ilaix Moriba.
