Claudio Bravo: 'Little difference between Chile, Germany'

Claudio Bravo admits to being upset following Chile's narrow defeat to Germany in the Confederations Cup final, claiming that his team 'must learn from their mistakes'.

Claudio Bravo has insisted that there "was not much difference" between Chile and Germany, but admits that his side can learn lessons from their 1-0 Confederations Cup final defeat.

The only goal of a tight game at the Zenit Arena arrived 20 minutes in through Lars Stindl, who profited from a mistake in possession by Marcelo Diaz.

Chile registered 22 shots in all but failed to find a way through, proving particularly wasteful late on when both Arturo Vidal and Angelo Sagal failed to convert from close range.

Bravo, the penalty-shootout hero in the previous round against Portugal, believes that the result could have gone either way on the balance of the 90 minutes.

"There was not much difference between the two teams," BBC Sport quotes the captain as saying. "We are sad not to have won, but we played against a world-class team and must learn from our mistakes."

Chile have won back-to-back Copa America crowns, beating Argentina on penalties in the 2015 and 2016 finals.
