Tuesday's League One predictions including Wigan Athletic vs. Bolton Wanderers

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's League One fixtures, including

Derby vs. Charlton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

After losing to Barnsley at the weekend, Derby County will try to get their League One promotion bid back on track in Tuesday's home meeting with Charlton Athletic.

The Addicks, meanwhile, will be looking to end their 16-game winless league run as they fight to retain their third-tier status.

We say: Derby County 2-1 Charlton Athletic

Although Derby experienced a disappointing at the weekend, they have won seven of their last eight home games against Charlton, and we think they will draw inspiration from that record to clinch a narrow victory in Tuesday's contest.

Port Vale vs. Fleetwood (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Two relegation rivals will face off when Port Vale welcome Fleetwood Town to Vale Park for Tuesday's League One contest.

The Valiants are languishing in 22nd place and three points adrift from safety, while the Cod Army are four points worse off in 23rd position.

We say: Port Vale 1-1 Fleetwood Town

The two relegation-threatened sides will both be determined to pick up all three points, but with wins proving hard to come by, we think the respective teams will have to settle for a share of the spoils.

Wycombe vs. Cheltenham (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Aiming to move themselves away from any late-season worries at the foot of the division, Wycombe Wanderers will do battle with relegation-threatened Cheltenham Town at Adams Park on Tuesday night in League One.

The Chairboys were defeated on their travels at playoff-chasing Stevenage last time out, while the Robins earned a respectable point at the home of Wigan Athletic on the weekend.

We say: Wycombe Wanderers 1-0 Cheltenham Town

Playing at Adams Park for the first time since securing their place at Wembley in April, there should be a feel-good factor around Wycombe on Tuesday night, and they should be confident of earning three points.

Cheltenham had to grind out the point at Wigan on the weekend in a valiant defensive display, but we feel that the Robins will be unable to repeat the trick in Buckinghamshire.

Stevenage vs. Cambridge (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Fighting hard to keep their playoff push on track, top-six chasing Stevenage will welcome mid-table dwellers Cambridge United to the Lamex Stadium for a League One contest on Tuesday night.

The Boro returned to winning ways against EFL Trophy finalists Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, while the U's suffered another defeat in front of their home faithful.

We say: Stevenage 2-0 Cambridge United

Stevenage will be feeling a whole lot better following the win over Wycombe on Saturday, and the visit of Cambridge represents a real opportunity for the Boro to burst into the top six.

The U's appear to be going nowhere quick under the interim management of Corr, so we are expecting a third-straight loss for United on Tuesday night.

Leyton Orient vs. Blackpool (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Two teams targeting a playoff spot will go head-to-head when Leyton Orient welcome Blackpool to Brisbane Road in Tuesday's League One encounter.

The O's are in ninth place and six points adrift of the top six, while the Tangerines are two points better off in eighth position.

We say: Leyton Orient 1-1 Blackpool

Blackpool will be looking to claim a third consecutive league win on Tuesday, but having struggled for consistency on the road this season, we think the Tangerines will be held to a draw by a Leyton Orient side who have lost just one of their last six home matches.

Lincoln vs. Shrewsbury (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Aiming to keep their late push towards the top-six positions on track, Lincoln City will do battle with relegation-threatened Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday night at LNER Stadium in League One.

The Imps were winners on the road at Port Vale on the weekend, whilst the Shrews were also successful on their travels, earning maximum points from a five-goal thriller against Reading.

We say: Lincoln City 2-1 Shrewsbury Town

Lincoln have enjoyed a resurgence in recent weeks and will be confident of edging close to the playoff picture with a third-straight victory on Tuesday night.

Shrewsbury had to hold on in the second period for a vital three points at Reading, but we feel that the Shrews will be unable to repeat the trick at LNER Stadium.

Wigan vs. Bolton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Promotion-chasing Bolton Wanderers will attempt to bounce back from a defeat to Blackpool when they make the short trip to the DW Stadium for Tuesday's meeting with Wigan Athletic.

The Latics will head into the midweek fixture in 13th place, while the Trotters currently occupy third position in the League One table.

We say: Wigan Athletic 1-3 Bolton Wanderers

After falling to defeat at the weekend, Bolton will be determined to get their promotion bid back on track in Tuesday's meeting with one of their local rivals, and we think the visitors will have the extra quality required to pick up all three points.

Burton Albion vs. Carlisle (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Burton Albion can inflict a seventh successive loss upon Carlisle United when they welcome League One's basement side to the Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The hosts battled past Bristol Rovers 2-1 at the weekend, while their cellar-dwelling visitors fought valiantly against Portsmouth but ultimately succumbed to a 1-0 defeat.

We say: Burton Albion 1-0 Carlisle United

Carlisle may have already had Burton's number this season, but the Cumbrians have only been on a downward trajectory since, and Burton have prided themselves on diligent defensive displays at the Pirelli Stadium.

With weekend fatigue also setting in, a classic should not be in store, but a solitary goal - likely to come the way of the hosts - could prove the difference once again.
