Sports Mole's Championship Team of the Week

Sports Mole picks out its best XI, biggest numpty and best goal for Gameweek 20 in the Championship.

Gameweek 20 in the Championship gave us 26 goals and one red card.

Queens Park Rangers are top of the table once again after they beat Blackpool and fellow pacesetters Leicester City and Burnley played out a 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium.

At the bottom, Barnsley and Yeovil Town shared the spoils in their six-pointer, while Sheffield Wednesday won away at Watford to climb within a point of safety.

Here, Sports Mole picks out its best XI of the weekend as well as highlighting the biggest numpty and the best goal.

Dean Gerken (Ipswich Town)
The Tractor Boys had Gerken to thank for keeping out Nottingham Forest and claiming a point at the City Ground. One point-blank save from Simon Cox, in particular, stood out.

Liam Palmer (Sheffield Wednesday)
Wednesday kept their first clean sheet of the season by winning at ailing Watford and Palmer was one of the keys at the back.
Richard Keogh (Derby County)
Derby County have now won six in a row and are up to fourth in the table. Keogh was unbeatable in the air as Charlton Athletic became Derby's latest victim on Saturday.
Matthew Upson (Brighton & Hove Albion)
Upson scored a late winner as Brighton & Hove Albion squeezed past Middlesbrough.
Danny Pugh (Leeds United)
Pugh provided one assist for Leeds United as they surged into the playoff places with a convincing victory at Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster Rovers.

Matt Phillips (QPR)
Phillips came up against former side Blackpool for the first time since departing in the summer and put in a man-of-the-match performance by scoring the opener before crossing for Charlie Austin to head in the second.
Jacob Mellis (Barnsley)
Mellis was all over the field for the Tykes as they earned a point against fellow strugglers Yeovil.
Andre Moritz (Bolton Wanderers)
A second straight week in the best XI for Moritz after a goal and an assist in the defeat at Wigan Athletic.
Joel Grant (Yeovil Town)
Grant scored Yeovil's goal against Barnsley and was a constant pest for the Glovers at Oakwell.

Jordan Rhodes (Blackburn Rovers)
Rhodes finished well to open the scoring for Blackburn before setting up another as Rovers edged past Millwall 3-2.
Steve Morison (Millwall)
Morison also had a goal and an assist for Millwall as they suffered defeat at Ewood Park.

Numpty of the Week

James Hayter: The Yeovil striker had a golden opportunity to win the match for his side and take them out of the bottom three but somehow headed over in front of goal when it seemed easier to score.

Goal of the Week

Craig Bryson (Derby) vs. Charlton: Bryson has been in goalscoring form for the Rams and scored for a second straight game by exchanging passes with Connor Sammon before dinking the ball into the net.
