Barcelona win the race to sign Sergio Aguero on a two-year deal when his time at Manchester City comes to an end, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Barcelona have won the race to sign Sergio Aguero on a two-year deal when he leaves Manchester City this summer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Citizens' all-time leading goalscorer is preparing to bid his farewells to the Man City faithful after 10 years at the club, with Sunday's game against Everton set to be his last appearance at the Etihad in sky blue.

A move to another Premier League club has been mooted as Aguero seeks to keep climbing the all-time top goalscorers list, but Barcelona have always been rumoured to be at the head of the queue for his signature.

Now, Romano claims that an agreement has been reached for Aguero to join Barcelona on a two-year contract, and he will be unveiled as a Blaugrana player after the Champions League final.

Romano adds that the 32-year-old will undergo his medicals in the next few days, and he turned down offers from three unnamed clubs to complete a move to Catalonia.

Aguero has amassed a total of 258 goals in 388 appearances for City and is fighting to be fit in time for Sunday's clash with Everton and next weekend's Champions League final.
