Project Restart: Tottenham Hotspur's remaining 2019-20 Premier League fixtures

Ahead of the Premier League restart next week, Sports Mole looks at the remaining fixtures facing Tottenham Hotspur.

With Harry Kane and Son Heung-min due to miss the majority of the final two months of the campaign, Tottenham Hotspur were up against it when it came to trying to improve on eighth position in the Premier League standings.

However, with both players now available for selection, Jose Mourinho will feel that his side are capable of finishing in the top six come the end of July.

As it stands, Spurs sit seven points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea, with just two points separating them from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sheffield United, who are in sixth and seventh respectively.

Nevertheless, the North Londoners have been presented with a tough start upon the resumption of the top flight, beginning with a home encounter against Manchester United on June 19.

While success would take Spurs to within one point of their next opponents, they would be under pressure to maintain any momentum with a double-header against West Ham United and Sheffield United.

Everton and Bournemouth are more appealing games on paper when it comes to trying to accumulate points, but they are scheduled to come before the derby showdown with Arsenal.

Spurs have a mixed record against Newcastle United at St James' Park, one they may need to improve on before welcoming Leicester City to England's capital for their final home fixture of the season.

A short trip to Crystal Palace represents Spurs' last game of the campaign, and they may require all three points to finish above a group of teams all vying for sixth and better.
