David Moyes targets Premier League title next season

David Moyes believes that Manchester United can challenge for titles next season.

David Moyes has said that he is building for the future at Manchester United and has suggested that his side will be looking to compete for titles next season.

The ex-Everton boss, who has endured a difficult start to life as the Red Devils boss since succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford last summer, believes his team can put down a marker for the forthcoming campaign by beating local rivals Manchester City in the Premier League on Tuesday.

He told The Mirror: "We are building already, with my thoughts and vision for next year. In every game we have to start looking to that. We need to be in there competing for titles next year.

"That's what this club has done and all the other clubs have had periods where they haven't been competing for titles.

"There is an added importance if you win big games and it's something we've not done often enough this season."

Moyes watched his side beat West Ham United in the league on Saturday, thanks to a brace from Wayne Rooney.
