Manchester United are facing the prospect of being without the services of 10 first-team players for Saturday's Premier League clash with Everton at Old Trafford.

The 20-time English champions will be aiming to bounce back from successive league losses to Fulham and Manchester City when they welcome Sean Dyche's side this weekend.

Zero points from the last six available have dented Man United's Champions League hopes, with the team currently sixth in the Premier League table, six points behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who have a game in hand, and 11 points from fourth-placed Aston Villa.

Injuries have harmed head coach Erik ten Hag throughout the campaign, and the team could be missing as many as 10 first-team players for the clash with the Toffees.

There are seven definite absentees for the Red Devils, with Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Anthony Martial, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tom Heaton all out.

Jonny Evans has also emerged as a doubt, with the experienced centre-back being forced off the field in the second half of the 3-1 loss to Man City last time out due to an issue that he brought into the match.

Harry Maguire, meanwhile, has missed the team's last two matches with an unspecified issue, and the centre-back remains a major doubt for the clash with Everton.

Man United are also sweating over the fitness of Rasmus Hojlund, with the Denmark international missing the team's last three games in all competitions due to a muscular problem.

Hojlund has not featured since scoring twice against Luton Town on February 18, and it remains to be seen whether he will recover from his injury in time to be involved against Everton.

On February 23, Man United said that the forward would be out for "two to three weeks", and his fitness is set to be addressed by head coach Ten Hag during his press conference on Friday.

There has been positive news on the injury front this week, though, with Marcus Rashford back in training after being forced off the field in the Manchester derby.

Ten Hag said that the Englishman had been carrying a knock ahead of the clash at the Etihad Stadium, and he was replaced in the 75th minute of the contest.

Rashford is set to be available for the game against Everton, but Ten Hag will be forced into at least one change from the Manchester derby lineup if Evans is ruled out of the fixture at Old Trafford.

Man United have two more matches before the March international break, with Liverpool visiting Old Trafford on March 17 in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
