Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is to pen a five-year deal at Leicester City worth £95,000 a week, according to a report.

James Maddison has reportedly put an end to questions over his future by agreeing a new long-term deal with Leicester City.

The 23-year-old boasts a combined nine goal involvements in the Premier League this term and has long been touted as a midfield target for Manchester United.

According to The Sun, though, United have been dealt a blow as Maddison is close to putting pen to paper on a five-year contract extension with the Foxes.

Leicester will supposedly increase the England international's wages to £95,000 a week in what the club believe is a big statement of intent.

Maddison, who joined from Norwich City in a £22m transfer two years ago, will be behind only Jamie Vardy in terms of Leicester's highest-earning players.

City will be without the injured midfielder for Sunday's final-day clash with Man Utd at the King Power Stadium.
