Manchester United 'still interested in Juventus forward Paulo Dybala'

Manchester United reportedly retain an interest in signing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala and could return with an offer in January after missing out during the summer.

Manchester United are reportedly still interested in signing Paulo Dybala from Juventus following their failed summer pursuit.

The Red Devils were heavily linked with a move for the Argentine as part of a possible swap deal with Romelu Lukaku, but the Belgian eventually joined Inter Milan and United did not bring in any attacking reinforcements bar the early arrival of Daniel James.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still thought to want more depth up front, with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood having so far shouldered the responsibility of the central striking role.

Tuttosport reports that United could revive their interest in Dybala during the January transfer window, although they are expected to face competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur as well as Paris Saint-Germain.

Dybala's wage demands and issues over his image rights are understood to have complicated negotiations during the summer.

The 25-year-old has fallen down the pecking order in Turin under Maurizio Sarri, playing just 14 minutes of Serie A football so far this season.
