Paul Pogba is reportedly prepared to sign a new long-term contract with Manchester United, despite interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

The 28-year-old has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal and could leave Old Trafford for free next summer if terms to extend his contract fail to materialise.

However, L'Equipe reports that Pogba has told people close to him that he wants to stay at Man United and sign a new contract worth around £400,000 per week, which would make him the highest-paid player in Premier League history.

The report also claims that PSG are willing to offer the Frenchman a £510,000-a-week salary if he were to leave Old Trafford for free next summer, while Juventus are also interested in re-signing him in the summer of 2022.

Man United are hoping to resolve Pogba's future before Christmas, however an agreement between both parties could now be reached sooner, given the midfielder's desire to stay in Manchester.

Pogba has made a bright start under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer so far this campaign, registering seven assists in as many Premier League matches, more than any other player.
