Real Madrid are not currently in negotiations with any club over a potential January move for Eden Hazard, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Real Madrid are not currently in negotiations with any clubs over a potential January move for Eden Hazard.

The Belgium international has made 11 appearances for Los Blancos this term but has not started for the capital giants in Spain's top flight since the middle of September.

A number of teams, including Newcastle United, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur, have been linked with the 30-year-old ahead of the January transfer window.

However, according to Romano, who spoke to Football Espana about the situation, the Belgian is unlikely to be on the move at the start of 2022, with Real Madrid currently not speaking with any potential suitors.

Hazard, who has also been linked with a return to Chelsea, has scored five times and registered nine assists in 54 appearances for Los Blancos since arriving in July 2019.

The former Lille youngster still has three years left to run on his contract at the Bernabeu.
