Jenson Button implores Sauber drivers Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez to improve their driving after the pair combine to force him to retire early at the Korean Grand Prix.

Jenson Button has criticised the driving of Sauber duo Kamui Kobayashi and future teammate Sergio Perez, insisting that the pair costs him a chance to score crucial points at the Korean Grand Prix.

The McLaren driver was clipped in the first corner before being shunted off the track by Kobayashi through turn three.

Button insisted that the subsequent drive-though penalty issued to the Japanese driver did not act as an effective deterrent against careless racing.

He told Sky Sports News: "I don't think its enough when you wipe out two cars that have a very good chance of scoring points.

"It is pretty poor driving standards considering this is the pinnacle of motorsport and it is such a long race.

"These guys are going round having fun out there and fighting for points - the race is not two corners long and some people need to learn that and whether they will ever learn that we will see."

An early retirement means Button remains in sixth place in the drivers standings with four races remaining this season.
