McLaren star Jenson Button apologises for his 14th-place finish in the Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Jenson Button has apologised to his McLaren team for his poor performance in the Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday.

The 32-year-old finished in 14th place - almost 80 seconds behind surprise Ferrari winner Fernando Alonso - following a collision with HRT driver Narain Karthikeyan on the rain-soaked Sepang circuit.

"It was totally my fault," said Button. "I blew what could have been some good points and I have to say sorry to the team."

Alonso admitted after the race that he was surprised by his win.
