Tony Jardine: 'F1 senior drivers won't like arrival of teen Max Verstappen'

Tony Jardine believes that teenager Max Verstappen will receive a frosty reception from the senior drivers when he makes his Formula 1 debut next year.

Former McLaren assistant team manager Tony Jardine believes that a number of senior Formula 1 drivers will be less than happy with the arrival of teenager Max Verstappen.

The 16-year-old will replace Jean-Eric Vergne at Toro Rosso next season, making him the youngest driver to debut in the sport.

"What the senior drivers will think about it - don't ask them, because they won't like it," Jardine told Sky Sports News.

Verstappen only graduated from karts earlier this year.
