Latvian ice hockey player Vitalijs Pavlovs fails a doping test at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, according to the International Olympic Committee.

Latvian ice hockey player Vitalijs Pavlovs has failed a doping test at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, according to the International Olympic Committee.

Pavlovs tested positive for the stimulant methylhexanamine following Latvia's loss to Canada in the quarter-finals on Thursday.

Ukraine's Marina Lisogor and Germany's Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle have also failed doping tests at the Games.

The IOC had warned competitors last week that if they do not get caught for doping during the Games, then they may still get caught later.
