Katherine Copeland and Sophie Hosking have won gold for Great Britain in the lightweight double sculls.

The Great Britain pair flew out out of blocks early, though Greece and China soon eased ahead in first and second.

At the halfway mark of the race, Copeland and Hosking moved up into second and started to put pressure on the reigning world champions Greece.

Great Britain edged into the lead at Eton Dorney, using a much smoother technique than their rivals.

The last quarter of the race saw Great Britain race into a significant lead.

Both held on to win gold with a time of 7:09.30, with China taking silver and Greece winning bronze.
