Germany's Dimitrij Ovtcharov wins bronze in the men's singles table tennis.

Germany's Dimitrij Ovtcharov has won bronze in the men's singles table tennis.

Ovtcharov overcome Chinese Taipei's Chuang Chih-Yuan 4-2 to earn third place in the competition.

Ovtcharov took the opening set 12-10, before Chuang hit back to take the next two to lead 2-1.

However, Ovtcharov responded by taking a close fourth set 13-11 and he eased to the fifth set 11-5.

Chuang held the advantage for the majority of the fifth set, but Ovtcharov hit back to take the set 14-12 and win the match.
