Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Saturday's La Liga clash with Rayo Vallecano.

Inaki Pena will make his first appearance of the season when Barcelona resume their La Liga campaign away to Rayo Vallecano on Saturday afternoon.

The club's number one goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is out of the contest due to a back problem which he picked up during a training session with Germany over the international break.

As a result, number two Pena will make just his third league appearance for the club, with the La Liga champions refusing to take any risks when it comes to Ter Stegen's fitness.

Gavi, meanwhile, will miss the rest of the campaign due to the ACL injury that he suffered while turning out for Spain in their Euro 2024 qualification clash with Georgia.

The midfielder's absence is a huge blow for Barcelona, but Frenkie de Jong is back in the squad after recovering from an ankle problem.

Alejandro Balde started on the bench against Alaves before the international break, but he is set to return to the XI this weekend.

As a result, Inigo Martinez could miss out at the back, with Ronald Araujo likely to feature alongside Jules Kounde in the middle of the defence.

Lamine Yamal started on the right against Alaves last time out, and the Spain international should retain his spot in the side despite pressure from Raphinha and Ferran Torres.

Sergi Roberto has almost recovered from a calf problem, meanwhile, and he is likely to be back in the squad against Porto.

Barcelona possible starting lineup: Pena; Cancelo, Araujo, Kounde, Balde; Gundogan, Pedri, F Lopez; Yamal, Lewandowski, Felix
