Ten-man Las Palmas battle back to earn draw against Celta Vigo

Celta Vigo drop points for the first time this season after being held to a 3-3 draw by a spirited Las Palmas.

Ten-man Las Palmas have battled back from two goals down to earn a 3-3 draw and end Celta Vigo's perfect start to the La Liga campaign.

The game's first big talking point came 11 minutes in when Javi Varas brought down Iago Aspas inside the area to concede a penalty and earn himself a straight red card.

Fabian Orellana successfully tucked away the penalty to edge the home side ahead, before Daniel Wass pounced on the ball inside the box to double his side's lead just a few minutes later.

A battling Las Palmas side had plenty left in them, though, and they were right back in it when Sergio Araujo tapped home to halve the deficit at Balaidos.

The game's third goal, which at the time looked to be pivotal, did not arrive until the 49th minute when Nolito kept his composure to slot away.

Despite the two-goal deficit and finding themselves a man down, last season's promoted side managed to earn a point thanks to goals from Pablo Hernandez and David Simon in the final 30 minutes.

Neither side could find a winner in the remaining time to ensure that Celta remain in third, while their opponents occupy 15th place in the early league standings.
