Half-Time Report: Fast-starting Fulham in control of London derby with Charlton Athletic

Goals in the first 12 minutes from Scott Parker and Hugo Rodallega give Fulham a 2-0 half-time advantage over London rivals Charlton in the Championship.

Two goals in the first 12 minutes have helped Fulham take half-time control of their London derby with Charlton Athletic in the Championship this evening.

Scott Parker scored against his former club after just six minutes before Hugo Rodallega quickly doubled Fulham's lead as they started rapidly at Craven Cottage.

Parker smartly intercepted the ball in the Charlton half and drove to the edge of the box before slipping in Ross McCormack, whose return pass set up Parker to thrash home off the underside of the crossbar.

Caretaker Whites manager Kit Symons saw his side go further ahead six minutes later when Rodallega had an easy close-range conversion after Stephen Henderson parried McCormack's volley into his path.

The Addicks, who can climb to third in the table with victory, threatened only from distance as both Franck Moussa and George Tucadean dragged wide from 25 yards, when better options were available.

Tim Hoogland could have perhaps put the game beyond the visitors, but he glanced a header from McCormack's free-# kick narrowly wide as Charlton survived with just a 2-0 deficit heading into the break.
