The Italian giants went ahead as early as the fourth minute when Fredy Guarin found the target.

Walter Mazzarri's side doubled their advantage five minutes from the interval through Ishak Belfodil.

Then on the stroke of half time, the Nerazzurri earned a penalty that Saphir Taider successfully converted.

Cristian Caccetta pulled one back for the visitors nine minutes after the restart and Giuseppe Madonia added a second in the final minute of normal time, but that did not prove to be enough for them.
