Goals from Jonas and Haedo Valdez help Valencia defeat Llagostera 2-0 away in the Copa del Rey round of 32 first-leg clash.

Valencia have defeated Segunda Division B side Llagostera 2-0 away from home in the first leg of their Copa del Rey round of 32 tie.

Llagostera had won only one of their last four games at the Estadi Municipal but could hold off their Spanish first division opponents for the first 45 minutes.

However, Los Che broke the deadlock in the first minute of injury time through Jonas and doubled their advantage midway through the second half when Haedo Valdez found the target.

The second leg of the tie will be held at Mestalla on November 28.
